Subject: Re: Winsock + WFW 3.11 + ODI drivers
My advice to you all is to get the 32bit TCP/IP stack from
ftp.ftp.microsoft.com. I did and here's my Autoexec:
c:\windows\net start
c:\dos\lsl
c:\dos\odidepca
c:\dos\ipxodi
C:\WINDOWS\odihlp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\netx
and my protocol.ini:
[network.setup]
version=0x3110
netcard=ms$odimac,1,MS$ODIMAC,4
transport=ms$netbeui,NETBEUI
transport=tcpip-32,MSTCP32
transport=ms$nwlinknb,NWLINK
lana0=ms$odimac,1,ms$netbeui
lana1=ms$odimac,1,tcpip-32
lana2=ms$odimac,1,ms$nwlinknb
[NETBEUI]
BINDINGS=ODIDEPCA
LANABASE=0
[net.cfg]
PATH=C:\DOS\NET.CFG
[MS$ODIMAC]
[Link Driver odidepca]
data=Frame Ethernet_SNAP
data=Frame Ethernet_802.2
data=Frame Ethernet_II
data=Frame Ethernet_802.3
data=Link Driver odidepca
[MSTCP32]
BINDINGS=ODIDEPCA
LANABASE=1
[NWLINK]
BINDINGS=ODIDEPCA
After a lot of messing around, this final result works perfectly
including the trumpet SLIP.

I was just FTP'd into the Mosaic source site (ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu) this morning
and while I was viewing various readme type documents in the Mosaic area (path
was pc/mosaic I believe) I saw a reference to a NULL Winsock and where to ftp
it from. Don't remember where that source was but if you retrace my steps,
you'll probably find it. They were saying, in the readme doc, that use of the
NULL Winsock allows you to run Mosaic locally.
Good luck

10022 is WSAEINVAL. This implies that one of those parameters is duff.
Hence the obvious questions...
Have you created sockNew ok?
Has hwnd been initialised ok?
That's all I can think of at the moment.
